About Elaine Mack

I graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine back in 2007 and have been practicing in various clinics since then.

My passion for helping people, and especially those that can not normally afford Acupuncture started during my time in clinic at school. The school had a free clinic, and so many people used us as their primary source of healthcare it was truly astounding. The modern health system failed so many people on so many levels, they would wait hours just to be seen by us.

After graduating, one of my jobs which further led me deeper into community acupuncture was working at the Mercy Hospital Acupuncture Clinic for several years before it closed. We offered low cost acupuncture services for the Chicago-land community and saw a variety of patients of all ages and incomes, often times with their doctors getting a treatment at the same time! For many of them, especially the elderly and pensioners, what little extra money they had they saved for us, as they felt we did so much for them in offering real relief to their aches and pains. That is a lot of pressure to do your best, so we gave it our all until we had to close shop in 2018 when they began shutting down their community outreach programs.

It is a truly humbling experience...

So now here I am trying to rekindle what was started at Mercy Hospital. I hope you will help too. This medicine can offer so much for so many problems. No medicine is 100% percent perfect, and anyone telling you otherwise should be kept at arms length. I can't cure everything, I wish I was that good, but I will do my best for you.
